Busy with work? Travelling? These aren’t excuses for neglecting your daily oral care routine. Take these steps to keep your mouth healthy at all times.
Avoid foods and drinks that are not good for your teeth
Have more foods and drinks that are good for your teeth, including fruits and vegetables, dairy products such as milk and yoghurt. Limit your intake of teeth unfriendly foods and drinks such as sweets, soft drinks, acidic foods and drinks or foods that might get stuck in between your teeth such as chips and bread.
Use portable oral hygiene products
Bringing your full size toothpaste and toothbrush can be pretty inconvenient while travelling, especially when you are at work or while travelling. We recommend:
Travel Toothbrush with Premium Toothpaste 25gm – specially designed for travel, comes with a travel toothbrush with high quality bristles and a premium toothpaste to help prevent cavities and protect your gums.
Don't forget about your tongue
Brushing and flossing your teeth isn’t enough. There might still be bacteria and plaque found on your tongue and palate (roof of your mouth). So always brush your tongue to remove any remaining plaque that can cause bad breath and encourage bacteria growth. We recommend:
Tongue Brush Tongue Cleaner and Bacteria Remover – made of soft bristles to gently clean the surface of your tongue and help remove odour-causing bacteria
Rinse your mouth after eating or drinking
After eating or drinking beverages like coffee and tea, rinse your mouth with plain water or a travel-side bottle of mouth rinse to help clear food lodged in between teeth and neutralise the effects of acidic and sugary foods and drinks.
These are not substitutes for brushing and flossing, but it’s a quick way to keep your breath fresh, especially when you have an important meeting just after your lunch break. We recommend:
Fluorinze™ Alcohol Free Fluoride Mouth Rinse – contains a combination of Fluoride, Tea Tree Oil, Thymol, CPC and Xylitol to help prevent tooth decay and strengthen your tooth enamel.
Breath Spray Instant Breath Freshening Spray – removes unpleasant breath odours caused by food, cigarettes and alcohol. Comes in a slim and compact size that fits easily in your pocket or handbag and available in three minty fresh flavours.
Drink lots of water
It is important to keep your mouth moist throughout the day. A dry mouth can cause bad breath, so always have a bottle of water with you while travelling.
